Individual and small group of people.
Which nationalities is 3.0 going to be built around? What is the only requirement for them?
It will be built around the individual and small group of people with every color skin around the world who can plug and plays.
He mentions 10 "flatteners" - which one did you find the most interesting and why? You might want to jot them down as you watch.
August 9, 1995 is the most interesting flatteners. Since it is the starting point of booming of world wide web that allow other flatteners to happen. So, it is the most important and most interesting compare to other flatteners.
What do you think? Is he right?
No collaboration could happen, if they are no connection, however the internet and world wide web do connect them together. Furthermore, it is the starting point that allow general people to use computer and access to the internet then encourage them to create other collaboration such as open sources. He is right because internet and world wide web do shrink the world and connect people from different places together without seeing each other before by just accessing the website.
What does this mean for the world?
As it was said above that this make the world shrink. Globalization happens when people can connect and collaborate with each other across the world while staying at the same place. Internet and open shore allow people to collaborate and getting things across the world such as in the online shopping or toshiba computer repairing without really shipping from that country. Therefore, it means for the world that people can be connected even when they stay at home and prove that the world is shrinking.
Is the world going Horizontal?
The world is going horizontal because compare to the 2.0 world, everything has changed. People don't really go to the ticket store to book a ticket, they already booked it online through their smart phone. This shows that the world has change from vertically (like world 2.0) to horizontally (world 3.0).
