| From Byte: IB Questions: 1.1.4 Analysis to Design 1.State two features you would expect to find in a feasibility report. [2 marks] (May 2008 SL P1 q1) Feasibility report would include the estimated costs for the implementation of the system and the identification of potential difficulties that would be faced during the new system or the process of implementation. 2. Outline two features of a feasibility report. [4 marks] (November 2007 SL P1 q5) Estimated costs -It reviews the costs of implementation, such as the costs to function the system, including the hardware components and the software purchases. Very often, the estimated costs in the feasibility report would determine whether it is worth the change in terms of the costs. Identifying potential difficulties - This feature of feasibility report contains the information about the possible obstacles that the implementation of the system and the system itsel f might have. Knowing the potential difficulties would help to make the decision in terms of the effort that needs to put in and the bugs (errors) that the new system might create compare to the previous system.

| From IB Examer: Q1: Award [1 mark] for any of the following up to [2 marks max]. Description of proposed system; Estimate of costs; Economic implications; Technical limitations; Technical advantages; Legal implications; Estimated time for completion; Comparison of alternatives; Human resource availability;
Q2: Award [1 mark] for stating any of the following features, together with [1 mark] for a brief outline of the feature. [2 marks] per example ×2 up to [4 marks max]. Technical feasibility; is concerned with whether the hardware, software and other system components can be acquired or developed to solve the problem; Operational feasibility; is a measure of whether the project can be put into action or operation. It can include logistical and motivational (acceptance of change) considerations; Schedule feasibility; determines whether the project can be completed in a reasonable amount of time/determines the time required; Economic feasibility; determines whether the project makes financial sense and whether predicted benefits offset the cost and time needed to obtain them; Legal feasibility; determines whether there are laws or regulations that may prevent or limit a systems development project;
